In 2013 Ricoh identified information mobility as a key factor needed by business organizations who are looking to enhance productivity, business processes and innovation. Ricoh has made great strides in broadening its portfolio to help customers meet this demand – including its recent acquisition of mindSHIFT Technologies, a leading provider of managed IT services.
Today is yet another milestone for Ricoh. The company has joined the Mopria Alliance, a global non-profit member association focused on delivering innovation in mobile print. In its press release, Sungho Choi, the alliance’s chairman, states: “We’re working with companies involved in all aspects of mobile printing – printer manufacturers, software developers, handset manufacturers, and beyond – to ensure the ease and proliferation of mobile printing.” Ricoh’s role within the alliance is to support building future industry standards for mobility services technology – an ideal position to hold as the company continues to expand its roster of hardware, software and services aimed to help global customers adjust to and flourish in today’s new world of work.
